Android builds

It'd be great to build our Android apps on the Sauce Labs VMs.

Because each customer's build and delivery pipeline looks different, it's hard for Sauce to build a common solution. We do offer a Jenkins plugin that makes running tests easier for you, but you'll have to manage your own build slaves.

Not sure why it double posted. :( I saw this in gmail:

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

It takes a great amount of effort to setup & maintain an on demand Android build farm. I want Android emulators in VMs as a service.

If I'm already paying Sauce for web & mobile testing, I might as well use them for everything (mobile builds). The infrastructure needs are the same (especially when we're talking about native test support -- sauce already has all the required software installed).

Existing options for Android/iOS builds in the cloud are terrible.

My local machines and CI don't scale. On Android I'd like to run "gradle
connectedCheck" and have both the build & tests happen on Sauce.

If I'm already paying Sauce then I might as well use them for everything
(web tests, mobile tests & builds).

I'm curious, where do you see the advantage in building apps directly on our VMs rather than on your local machines or CI servers?
